Kis, Kis ko batayeinge judaii ka sabab ham

I get the sense that I've been talking too much.
Mostly, this is a way of dispensing this crazy energy high that I'm on.
But, it is beginning to hollow me out.
Time for some silence, yeah?

Tralfamadorian or Perfect Logic

People are flawed. People can also be funny. Jokes can be funny. Therefore, People are Jokes. People are still flawed.

Day 17: Personal reflections

The voices in my head told me that I have Rage- a very personal, forceful Rage which has dropped in for a visit.
I'm feeding it pumpkin loaf bread and some coffee right now and reading to calm it down.

if you can let it alone for a while
it will heal.

exhaustion

My face looks thinner. Leaner. More Gaunt.
I let my hair down in an attempt to flesh it out.
Weekends fly by and nothing happens and then, she turns up.
She's lounging on the couch while I set myself right.
And I watch her in reflection.
My own dissolves into amber flickers.
Maybe, tomorrow, she'll still be around.

i
think of you
increasingly,
with less feeling
than when i was younger
i
miss you less
today,
than i did half
a decade ago
i
would do a lot
to know,
do you?

We're snowed in. Whee!
And on that note, I promise to catch up with my reading etcetera.

I ended up half-watching Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna - thats where I leave the movie on while I do random chores around the house returning only to fast forward the songs.

Yes, yes it has all the flaws of a bollywood film. But here's the (only) thing that I liked about the film: the protagonist is flawed.
And not just in the sense of "How can someone think up such an idiot character?" either.
The protagonist especially is an everyday jerk - with a temper and jealousy to boot.

(Abrupt end here. Thats all I really wanted to say)

Oh the pressure of being a celebrity!
Despite a routine life, I have to update this blog for my gazillion avid readers.

I"ve been having a relaxing time this week - replete with siestas and watching a knead itself into existence. The rehearsals are good fun (despite the occasional moments of self-consciousness: for instance, when I say doctor and not dakter or Venezuala instead of Venayzwella)

Thats all for the news this week. stay tuned.

sometimes

Sometimes with some new acquaintances, my curiosity goes into overdrive.
I'm plagued by a hundred questions - all personal, that leave me restless until I do get the answers:
how are you?
what brought you here, to this moment in time?

what is your story, really?
how come you still laugh like a child?
why do you look so intense?
do you miss her?

material girl

the perfect reason to workout is that I feel more empowered after I do. so ha!

I usually like working out with company, and I've beetn using that as the happy excuse to avoid all visits to the gym. That ... and the fact that the gym is a full half-block away! ye gads!

Funnily enough, once I'm there, there's nothing that I enjoy better than a good workout.
Well, maybe Daisy's kahlua brownies, and The Office and Pratchett.
or talking to the witches and to the elf overseas
or, chatting with pith and pin
Oh throw cooking into that list too..

The perfect way to procrastinate a workout, incidentally, is to chat with old workout buddies(how i hate the word!). Here's a starting point: "what do you recommend for work out music?"

She reminded me that we once worked out to Material Girl, remixed - in a room full of other people with yoga mats and aerobic steps, filled with stale sweaty air, throwing bratty grins at each other while trying to keep up with the bloody-fit instructor.
Ugh I hate how fit he was.
And it is strange how we record our memories to include smells.

Tch! I digress - while I do love working out with company, my new zen is a creative mp3 player - which I spent a good hour loading with millions of desi numbers - mwhahaha - soon I shall be thin and rule the world!

Poll

I wandered idly as a cloud,
that passes over hill and vale and came upon this:

Cast Call for Rumors: A play by Neil Simon

Now, given that I'm stranger in a strange land, should I try out?

my family gatherings are great reminders of why I am who I am - the irritability, the anger, the stress, the madness ... why I constantly watch myself for telling signs of desiness
