Apparently, I misquoted a certain witch. The corrected quote is:
"Much as I respect the bottle, the point is that the bottle must be respected."
My apologies (*grin*).
Also, RDP has posted a Longfellow poem, which seems like an eerie echo of this verse from the Tao Te Ching:
In the last two months, I've imploded more than once.
I've been feeding my fears and giving in to paranoia.
I need to find some way of remembering Tao, (the rather cheesy logic of the waves) and the importance of Slayage

Do you have the patience to waitAt this moment, I'm stillness FAIL.
till your mud settles and the water is clear?
Can you remain unmoving
till the right action arises by itself?

When you use the Way to conquer the world,
Your demons will lose their power to harm.
It is not that they lose their power as such,
But that they will not harm others;
Because they will not harm others,
You will not harm others:
When neither you nor your demons can do harm,
You will be at peace with them.
