It is terribly sad that ever so often arrogant dismissiveness passes off as 'intellectual' opinion.

It gets my goat when these people (bloggers, talkers, random acquaintances... you know...) believe whole-heartedly that their snobbish, disdainful opinions - about the world, poverty, religion, politics - are truly educated, insightful commentary.

Cynicism reeks on the advantaged.
Smart mouthing is not being incisive. And trash-talk is not wit, really.
